Whether you're looking for a tasty appetizer or are just tired of plain fries, everyone will love this pulled pork curly fries recipe.

This is a sponsored recipe written by Smart Savvy Living on behalf of McCain Foods.

Whether we're having friends over to watch a sports game or to have a dinner to catch up or celebrate a life milestone I love making favorites that everyone will enjoy.

I like to try to keep things on the simple side so I can enjoy time with our guests instead of being in the kitchen the whole time, but that doesn't mean the food can't be packed full of flavor.

For example, if I'm serving burgers I like to also serve fries, but instead of plain fries, I make this loaded pulled pork curly fries recipe.

It's an easy side dish that everyone will love and ask you to make every time they come over. After all, what's not to love about potatoes topped with savory pulled pork, melty cheese, and a creamy bbq sauce?

When I made these loaded curly fries to take photos for this recipe to share with you all I almost had to lock the door to keep Mr. Savvy out because they're so good.

One way I save time making these loaded pulled pork fries is to buy McCain frozen fries. Theysell a variety of cuts of fries and this time I used the McCain Seasoned Curly Fries.

I especially like using McCain fries because they always turn out great and since they're already seasoned you don't have to add a ton of salt. Be sure to visit the McCain fries site to see all the varieties available and where you can find them to purchase nearby.

You can bake the fries but I like to fry them and get them nice and crispy so they can really stand up to all these delicious toppings. Another way I save time with this recipe is that I always have some homemade pulled pork in my freezer from when I cook a big batch in the slower cooker.

If you don't have time for that you can, of course, use some from your local bbq restaurant or grocery store.

I went back and forth a long time trying to decide whether to serve a creamy dipping sauce or bbq sauce with these pulled pork fries and finally it dawned on me to just use a creamy bbq sauce. All you need to do is mix together some of your favorite bbq sauce and ranch dressing or mayo.

I like to put a bit into a squeeze bottle to drizzle over the top but also serve some on the side for those that like to dip.

These fries are so good and filling they honestly can be a meal in itself. Mr. Savvy has already asked that I make these for dinner again soon. Here's how I put them together.

Yield: ~8 servings

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Seasoned curly fries are crispily fried and topped with pulled pork, cheese, cabbage, green onion, and a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Mix together the bbq sauce and mayo (or ranch) for a dipping sauce and set aside.
  3. Cook fries according to package directions. I like to fry them to make sure they're nice and crispy.
  4. On a large, rimmed baking sheet (I like to line with parchment paper for easy clean up) place half of the cooked fries. Top the fries with half of the pulled pork and half the shredded cheese. Repeat with another layer of fries, pork, and cheese.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until everything is warmed through and cheese is melted, about 5 - 10 minutes.
  6. Once heated, move the fries to a serving platter, if desired. Sprinkle toppings over the fries if you'd like. I used thinly sliced red cabbage, sliced green onion, and the bbq sauce/mayo dipping sauce. I also put some of the dipping sauce in individual sauce cups for those who want more. Serve immediately.
